Track Listing of the album, Off the Road, revealed

Knowing that Dream Rovers’ debut album is complete, and they have not put all the tracks on their Songs page of their website, they revealed the track listing of their eight-track album as below:

1- February Snow
2- Dear Superstar
3- Too Many Nights Alone
4- Gonna Be
5- Cloudy Sky
6- Insomnia
7- Stutter
8- Tonight

There is a high possibility that one of the new songs which Erfan wrote during the Iranian New Year holidays, named One Good Morning In the County, would be added to the album. The song is planned to be performed on their soon to be held concert on May 8th and afterwards the guys will be deciding on making Off the Road a nine-track album or go on with the present track listing.

Trying to come, on the ground

It is abvious that a band such as Dream Rovers that is from a country like Iran and playing country music which is a sign of Americana with the lyrics written in English, would have the least chance to prevent joining the underground music phenomenon.
Knowing all the hardship and troubles on the way, Dream Rovers have decided to take their chance on getting permission from Iran’s Culture Ministry to be able to release their album ON the ground and because of this they have translated their lyrics to Persian and sent to Culture Ministry to take the first step in this way.
With Respect to this subject the Dream Rovers singer/songwriter, Erfan Rezayatbakhsh (elf) said: ” It is not that possible for us to get the permission but we thought it’s worth to give it a try. Besides, there is a silver linin’ behind every cloud”
Up until now they have done their best and now the only thing they can do is to wait with their fingers crossed.

Music Video, Website, Concert and a possibility of adding a new track to album

not far after the second SUT concert, it is so possible for Dream Rovers to set feet on Sharif University’s scene once again on May 8th. Trying to take their fans by surprise they are working on a new song which Erfan wrote during Iranian New Year’s holydays named “One Good Monrning In the County”. Besides, there is a high chance for the song to be recorded afterwards and added to “Off the Road”.
Alongside tons of plans waiting to be put on the track for Dream Rovers, they are looking forward to design a new website with much better appearance.Although it’s long-term plan and needs a lot of work.
Another news which is worth to point out is that the first music video of Dream Rovers is finally released. The video is made on one their most popular songs “Dear Superstar” . the video is available now on youtube but the band is still negotiating with different music channel to broadcast it.Dear Superstar video was directed by Ali.T and was filmed in Tehran on the last day of 2011.

Dream Rovers, once again on stage.

Last night the Sharif University centreal amphitheater was rocking by country music performed by Dream Rovers.
Last night the Iranian country music band went on the stage for the second time this year and set it on fire by some of their hits such as, Too Many Nights Alone, Cloudy Sky and Dear Superstar.Besides, the band performed an old country music hit, Oklahoma Hills, as the last song. The concert got a great reception by the audiences.
The guest instrumentalists who accompanied the band in this concert were:
Makan Mahmoudi as bassist,
Soheil Rezanejad as pianist,
and Omid Mazra’eh as drummer.

Debut Album and Concert

Dream Rovers are putting the final touches on their debut album named “Off the Road”. It is quite possible for them to go on stage on February, even though there is still the possibility of the concert to be cancelled in the last moment, or a change in the date to occur.
Off the Road includes eight tracks written bye the singer/songwriter of the band,Erfan Rezayatbakhsh (elf), and arranged by the band.
The name “Off the Road” was chosen because the words “Road” and “country music” are kind of bound with each other, resembling the concerts and tours old country music stars held together and the nights they spent on the road, writing songs in tour buses. Besides, everyone who knows a little about the situation that Iranian bands are going through knows that it is impossible for a country music band whose songs are in English to get the permission from the government to release their album. Therefore, the one and only way for such a band to be active in the field of music is to go “Underground” and use the Internet to introduce themselves and promote their music.
Of course, this is not the regular “Road” that music bands take in most of the countries around the world. This is why the name “Off the Road” describes the Dream Rovers’ situation in the best way, as the only country music band in a country like Iran.

The road calls to those who would love to rove, and Dream Rovers are just that; rovers with dreams that are turning to reality every moment.

A letter to “Taylor Swift” “Lady GaGa” and “Byonce’”

Dear fans,

We had informed you of completion of our new song “Dear Superstar” while ago. Now I’m back with the good news of its release. With apologizing for the delay in recording it for we’ve been through some difficulties. You can listen to this song and read the lyrics on the “Songs” page. At first this was supposed to be a letter just to Taylor for her songs were too fantasy and unreal. All about breaking up with this boyfriend and making friends with that boy or telling a guy that his girlfriend doesn’t understand him like she does and things like that. While working on the lyrics it turned out that it’s not only Taylor but also it seems like some pop stars like GaGa and Byonce don’t have any clue about what’s going on in the world they are living in. so this friendly letter was written just to poke them not to list them these hardships (although some were named in one part of the song such as children porn and FGM) for I’m sure these stars have enough open view to see such things. All I wanted to do was to tell them that as Superstars who have millions of fans ALL AROUND THE WOLRD, It would be a good idea to show their living-in-misery fans that they know what they’re going through.

“Dream Rovers” Live at a concert

At last they succeeded in performing live in Sharif university which is the topmost university of Iran in world rankings. Last night Dream Rovers went on stage to perform in front of more than 300 audiences while they were accompanying with “Mohammad Shojaee” as drummer and owing to the fact that the main bass player of the band (Majid Sadeghi) was in Sweden and was unable to join the band in this performance, Makan Mahmoudi replaced him to enable Dream Rovers to make a wonderful night for the audiences. Last night performance included some their best songs such as, Insomnia, Cloudy Sky and Stutter which were awarded with the big round applause of the spectators at the end.

Back for good

Hello there fellas, elf of Dream Rovers is back with very special news. those of you who have read our biography know that my good friend and our good bass player had left the band to study for his masters in Sweden. Now the good news is, Dijam’s back to the band. Although he is still in Sweden, technology enables us to cooperate! Sadly we do not have a bass line in our new song “Dear Superstar” which we have planned to record this weekend. Sorry dude! you should wait a little ;)

“Dear Superstars” and a change in plans

Hello once more, we’re back with good news. First of all, we’re ready to record our new song which we have not mentioned in any of our posts before. Interesting, isn’t it? The name is “Dear Superstars” and as the name suggests it is in form of a letter to three superstars who I won’t name because you should find it out yourselves and of course you will when you hear the song. As for the subject of the letter, that will be another thing which is worth figuring out.
By the way, there is a change in plans. We had planned on recording “Time to Walk in New Shoes” after “Stutter” but this song seems to be turning into a big project, and hence there is a chance for it to be our last song in this album.
Well, I’d better close for now. But wait for good news and of course for the song “Dear Superstars”!

Universal player, future performance, a barrage of songs, and RSS, all in one!

I’m back with even better news than before! For one thing, the player we used to have in our songs page seemed not to be working for some browsers. Now, we’ve made it universal: it works with IE, Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari… anything you can think of (apart from Lynx, of course, which is a text-only browser in Linux).

Another piece of good news for us and our wonderful fans which grace us daily with their messages that they send to us through the contact us page, is that we’re going to perform in Sharif university, the topmost university of Iran in terms of worldwide rankings. Isn’t that cool!

Speaking of performances, our work on “Insomnia” and “Time to Walk in New Shoes” has continued. We have also started working on another song called “Maybe”, which ensures a barrage of songs from us in the near future. Whether or not this is a good thing, though, is left to you to decide.

I’m also working on getting us an RSS feed, so our six billion fans—no, that is not a real number, just put here to make you think that everyone loves us—wouldn’t have to repeatedly check our news page. Hopefully, that should be up and running in a while.

All righties, that’s all for now! Until our RSS is up and running, check out this page often!
